Guest Leaves Negative Review After Paying $700/Night for Misleading Airbnb Property, Host Claims It Damages Their Business

A couple that has recently received some extra money thought it was right to indulge their dream vacation. They searched for accommodation on Airbnb and found a stunning place with excellent reviews.

The listing seemed perfect online but cost $700 per night; he justified this amount by saying that he would treat it as a special case.

His wife and he were happy to rent out this property for a night’s stay but soon became disappointed when they arrived there because it looked completely different from what they saw on the internet.

Photos displayed a luxurious destination endowed with breathtaking ocean views, lavish decorations and sophisticated finishes.

“To be honest, the space was cramp and old-fashion, so it seem like no one had clean it in weeks,” he state.

He said that usually he doesn’t mind such things. However, since they had spent so much money on this journey, he expected to receive all that he paid for.

He immediately reached out to the owner of the place telling them that he found discrepancies between the actual house and its listing description. Understandingly enough he was quite astonish when host rebuff him calling his judgment about that famous place just ‘subjective’.

Despite this, he remained unsettled by the unclean and questionable condition of the property. Consequently, he decided to cancel his reservation and request a refund through Airbnb. Additionally, he left a negative review due to the misleading nature of the listing.

The host was understandably disturbed by the situation. Intense concern and numerous messages caused them to be filled with regrets as they claimed that they should have been given a chance to resolve their issue before a review that can potentially hurt their business or make it disappear.

My wife said I may have been too harsh on us. She noted that we could have taken another course of action or at least let them make amends.

His spouse confesses that the ad was below average. Nevertheless, she thinks he acted too fast and his negative feedback was not fair.
