At this moment in time, we are into the summer season, and I am confidently sure that some of you may have already traveled to the beach while some are still planning.
Who can ever say no to a sunny day at the beach? The sun is shining bright; Therefore, it’s time to relax and enjoy heat or swim in brackish waters whenever you want.
Considering that I grew up just one hour from the Jersey Shore, I had many chances of going there.
Even though I do not have any of my own beachfront properties, I have been able to enjoy many weekend trips with friends who possess them.
Having been there often enough, I am genuinely an expert on how to prepare for an ideal day by the sea since there are some secret must-haves.

A good-quality beach chair
It’s easy to forget, but it is important to carry a nice beach chair for spending time on the shore. This chair can be very comfortable and easy to get out of making your day by the sea more pleasurable
Sometimes I do not like going to beach with only my towel because it is uncomfortable and sandy.
Two towels
Two towels are necessary if you want your trip to the beach to be hassle-free. Even though this means that you might have more laundry later (but let’s face it, who has never done laundry?), it is better to have one towel that will be used after swimming and another one whose sole purpose is sunbathing or hiding from prying eyes while on the beach. All this ensures that you have a dry clean towel whenever needed.
Drying off with a towel only to find yourself sitting on wet sand soon after has never been my thing. In addition, having an extra piece of cloth helps protect against severe sunlight.
Your own sunscreen and lip balm
On a trip to beach houses it is usual to come across a mixed selection of sunscreen. The same goes for going to the beach with friends or family.
But if your skin is as pale as mine, it’s necessary to take your own pack of sunscreen. Using somebody’s partly-used supply may be dangerous. Let’s get our sunscreens, and we can share but apply them repeatedly in every two hours and don’t forget to also carry an oily lip balm!
A hairbrush, detangling spray, and hair ties
While some people’s hair turns out beautifully curly and well-volumed after ocean swimming mine becomes tangled and wild instead. This is why wherever I go for swimming at sea I usually have a hairbrush, detangling spray or leave-in conditioner in addition with some rubber bands too – these are my must-haves if I want to look great during summer days. After spending time on the shore one could pick up salty water drops off his/her body while enjoying smoothness and lack of knots on her locks.
For those having long and often knotted hair these essential bits for the beach would be lifesaving resources. Regardless of whether you choose to take a leap into the water or not, having a hairbrush and hairband in easy reach is great if the wind plays around with one’s tresses.
Fully charged Bluetooth speaker and curated playlist
Before heading to the beach’s, remember to fully charge your portable Bluetooth speaker. Nothing ruins a beach day faster than having your music cut out because your speaker runs out of battery.
Enjoy two delicious sandwiches, a variety of light snacks, and a refreshing full tumbler
Zachariah, a TikTok influencer, has recently shared his smart suggestion of taking two instead of one sandwich to the beach. The reasoning behind this is that at times, you may be so carried away with your first sandwich that you end up eating it too fast. Truly speaking, an extra sandwich is advisable as it makes sure you are always ready for lunch when it finally comes.
Get yourself some light snacks suitable for ziplock bags to go with your sandwiches. Take your favorite drink on the trip with a cooling tumbler, whether it’s alcoholic or not. An all-day cooling tumbler is better than bulky coolers that are less convenient.
